Chances are you may even be able to get the retailer to foot the bill for this affordable system as a good will effort to attack crime in your community. The system consists of two components...

The first component is installed in the retailer's location and consists of specially designed barcode software that runs on the retailer's Point of Purchase computer plus a Thermal Transfer Printer loaded with special thermal transfer labels that will be printed and applied at the time of purchase of various consumer goods like flat screen TV's, PC's, laptops, radios, cameras, tools and other expensive goods that are often theft targets.

The second component consists of a Bluetooth ready, palm sized, barcode scanner that your patrol officers will use in conjunction with their patrol car laptop. Now when they encounter suspicious goods in a vehicle stop or home or business investigation, they can look for the special barcode labels that were applied at the retailer.

These innocuous barcoded labels may contain either the property owners drivers license number or in some cases a vehicle VIN. They are also very difficult to remove from the property without alot of effort.
