Hints for optimum etching results:
1. Do not etch glass in direct sunlight on very hot days. 2. Do not etch glass when the temperature is below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. 3. Do not etch glass in very windy or wet conditions. 4. For a higher contrast etch, paint may be added after etch process is complete.

Clean area to be etched with glass cleaner.
Remove the blue stencils from the white backing paper and apply to the outside of window glass in the desired locations. With fingertips, gently "pat" the stencil to ensure that it is in full contact with glass, paying specific attention to the area where the VIN number has been cut into the stencil.
Apply a film of etch cream.
Brush both left and right completely covering all characters.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO SPREAD ETCHING CREAM OVER EDGES OF STENCIL ONTO GLASS SURFACE. IF YOU DO, WIPE OFF EXCESS IMMEDIATELY WITH PAPER TOWEL AND PLAIN WATER.
After etching cream has been on for 5 to 7 MINUTES:
Carefully remove and discard all stencils into a plastic bag or container Spray etched area with plain water or glass cleaner and wipe dry with paper towel. Repeat process for all windows.
Warning decals.
Apply to inside of windows in conspicuous locations.
Suggested location: near handles on front doors. Avoid skin contact with label adhesive. We recommend using a knife blade or tweezers to apply label to required area. You may also fold back one corner of the decal liner. Position label as desired. Apply pressure to section of label where liner was peeled back to secure position. Peel liner from label, applying pressure with fingertips to label for maximum bonding.
